Subject: Re: question about search engine
and webapps
Hi,
Cf my answer from the 28/02:
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.cms.jahia.devel/3662
BTW: we
are modifying the search in Jahia 4.5 in order to let the customer develop new
Lucene indexers. So you will be able to create a new Lucene indexer with the
content of your webapp (+ specify your specific permissions, roles, url
management,...) so that the global search result is coherent with the content
+ urls of your webapps.
As previously mentionned a webapp/portlet can
be anything in Java, can rely on an existing framework which manages urls from
a certain manner, can manage its own permissions and roles, etc... You may
also have several times the same portlets but on various Jahia pages. So what
would be the result of your global search? Does it return all the pages where
this portet exist? Then you will also have to check the permissions on the
Jahia page. One may access to your portlet on a certain page but not on
another one. etc...
So we will introduce some search refactoring + some
examples in Jahia 4.5 with the introduction of the JSR168
support.
Cheers Stphane
