Hi Hope you all be fine. I am in starting of a new web application for a manufacture as all manufacture it should have some *sections like news , support , e-store , partners , design sections ,product announcement,..*
Jahia has no built-in ecommerce module so you will have to integrate with a third party tool or develop something yourself. For the rest it looks like standard content.
it should have some other features ,like *i18n (two languages for start),* it should be designed with a changeable look and feel , ... is jahia suitable for such system ?
i18n: Jahia supports UTF8 encoding. All the labels, menus, etc are stored in ressource bundles to ease possible translations in any languages.
Look and Fell: yep, but any CMS today allows some template modifications. Else this is not a CMS any more ;-)
*Does it support "right to left" <dir="rtl"> i should use Hebrew as second language. Does it automatically change the direction of page content (portlet to labels text)automatically ?
Hum. AFAIC I do not know if this is automatically taken in charge by the browser or if the application needs to be specifically developed for that. Never tried with Jahia for the moment.
*I and other team members know Struts well , is it compatible with struts?
Please check in the Portlet Repository on jahia.org, you will find some Struts portlet demo. There are some limitations for the moment (cf last thread in this mailing list). But we will soon support the new JSR168 API + some other webapps bridges as we are now integrating the Apache Jetspeed 2 project. Please check the various bridges available within the Jetspeed 2 project for more information about them.
Cheers, Stphane
or it hs its own tag lib/MVC framework. can i deploy an Struts application as a Portlet inside jahia ? or is it possible to integrate an struts application into jahia?
Thank you so much
