Is it possible to let an editor decide if an article shall be published on more than one virtual site?

We are now developing a notion of "Content Picker" in order to let any editor search, find and reuse any existing content. So at the place of simply editing a new content on a content object you will have the choice to reuse an existing content. This will in fact copy the existing at the current place. You will then have an option to keep a dynamic copy (every change to the source will also impact all the linked destinations) or a static copy (just copy the content without any further link). Such an option will work for all the current virtual sites hosted on the same Jahia server (of course if you have shared users among all the virtual sites = use of a LDAP server).

This feature will come in the next Jahia 4.5 release.

Can one page be easily published on more than one virtual site?

Through the content picking option, yes, as this new feature should work at the container, containerlist and page level.
