Actually we are trying to avoid putting field values in the filesystem,
as it makes it a lot harder to setup in cluster configurations. I'd
rather we enlarge the field value VARCHAR or maybe even look at using
other column types to solve this limitation. Any thoughts on this ?

exceed 250 characters, then not all selections are stored in the
database. Is it possible to externalize this also into a file? Should
