Hi,

The sitemap acts as a "layer" on your current page. I mean that you stay on the same page while calling the sitemap. So if you delete the branch on which you rely, this of course create a 404. But that is true that we could put in such a case an automatic redirect to the home page or simply block the capability to delete the current page from the sitemap.

Please enter a Jira enhancement (www.jahia.org/jira) if you think this is something important for you. We will try to work on it in the future...

Regards
Stéphane

Hi,

I do the following :
add a new page, call it MyPage and set type Portal
go to that page
go to the sitemap
choose to delete MyPage
then Jahia redirect me to a 404 error page
if I go back with the browser and click on Home, MyPage has been removed

I think that the 404 error page should not be there...
