I am having issues with the Jahia description fields for the links portlet and files portlet. I am able to input approx 249 characters in to the description field (which is a Smalltext field with a limit of 255 characters). Once the text is added and you have clicked ok in the pop up the description displays like the image below:

Notice how the paragraph is split on the third sentence. When viewing the code I noticed that a
had been automatically inserted after approx half way:

sdfgsd f gsd fgsdf g sd f gd f gsdf g s df g sdf gs dfg s d fg sdf g s d fg sdf gsd fg s df g sd f gsd f gsdf g sd fg s df
g s df g s df g sd fg sd fgs df g s df g s df g sdf g sd fg s df g sd f gs df g s df g s df g sd fg sdf g sd f gs df

Also when I then got to edit the item description I notice that all the text after the
is missing.

This is a big display issue for us and is causing confusion.

Is the limit for the description field 255 characters? If so why the
. If the
is inserted at the limit for the description field why are we initially able to input and display more? I would be grateful of some information/assistance in resolving this issue ASAP.

Im using: Jahia release 4.1.0_01, Build 6070

Many thanks in advance

Graham
