The current list of things that need to happen before 1.6b1 is:

* Finish and merge libotr-4.0.0 support. This still has some weird issues 
  with conversation state being shown incorrectly when multiple resources 
  are involved that I haven't tracked down yet. The SMP UI could also use 
  some extra polish.
* We should set up one wiki-page describing, per xtra-category, what needs 
  to happen to make then retina-friendly (this might just be "add @2x 
  images", but I believe required other changes, like ensuring no file 
  extensions in the plists). This way xtra-creators should have the chance 
  to update them for 1.6.
* I want to have a good look at the XMPP and IRC advanced preferences. XMPP 
  mixes personalization settings with connection settings quite heavily, and 
  I think it could be more clear. SASL for IRC is now on the first tab, 
  which is probably not the best place for it. But this should really be 
  done before localization starts.
