I've found the cause of the CMS Error 38 :-)

Whereas sending to Vodafone on a 7110 is happy with numbers commencing 44xxxxxxx, it seems that
one of either the 6120 or Orange insists on a leading "+", ie +44xxxxxxxxx.

I also changed the serial line speed to 1152000 removed parity checking and set the line mode
to clocal, as everything seemed much happier that way.

best

Subject: 6210 ?
Importance: Low

Hi all

Please could somebody with any knowledge of 6210 (6110) post a small FAQ.

Specifically, I've just replaced a 7110 with a 6120 running Kannel 1.1.4.
Whilst the 7110 was no trouble, sending to the 6210 fails with CMS Error 38.
(this is on Orange if that is significant)

I've seen comments about 0.5 sec delays and sending BREAK to the phone, but
can't see anything authoritative.

This is quite urgent so any wisdom is much appreciated. I'll post back my findings.

best regards
Roy Smith
