I don't use any RedHat systems so I have no way of testing any changes to
the configuration scripts. To me the implementation looks correct and I don't
know why it's failing for you guys.

The current code only allows Kannel to act as an https client. Adding server
support (even with SSL autodetection) wouldn't be that hard but I currently
don't have the time to do it - ATM no one is paying me for doing Kannel work
so if I do any it will be on my free time. When I have that necessary free
time, I'll hack on it a bit.
