I've also got this informaton from the SMSC operators, about using coding =
2 and why they send NACK
I don't know what they mean, but I hope someone do, and can fix this problem
in the kannel
or can tell me if there is something I can do in the configuration.

They Wrote :

Hi Avner,

Probable the Xser (Extra Services) field will cause the NACK, the value's in
that field 020104 refer to DSC information,
, 01 is the lenght in octets of the next octet's 04. 04 in bin. is 0000100
the meaning is described in ETSI specs GSM 03.38
the bit's 01 means an alphabet is used as 8-bit data.

I'm curious why you are using this information in the message can you
clarify this please?
Further I would like you to try sending the Op 51 with XSer 01 (UDH), or
will this be in conflict with the data you are sending trough ?

in anticipation of your reply,

kind regards,

David
