I have trouble compiling latest cvs Kannel on my Redhat 7.2

This is the output when running ./configure  :

 

Checking libxml version...  1.8.14

configure: error: libxml2 version 1.8.14 is too old. You need at least 2.2.5

 

Well... It is true that libxml is version 1.8.14, but the libxml2 version I have installed is 2.4.2 !!

What could have went wrong?
