Hi there,

1) I am using Kannel bearerbox II version cvs-20030404
2) It is the clean kannel.org version I got it from download page.

The emi2 SMSC does retransmit all queued messages, but sometime it received
unrecognized message from socket, thus it disconnected and try reconnect
after a long while. I am not sure what happened indeed coz I left the server
on for overnight and client will continue using the service (More than 50000
messages per day sometime). And the next day, when I try to look into the
log file and check on the store file, there are hundreds of messages stuck
in the log and no re-transmitting activity going on for the next few hours.
The log file is too big for me to be attached here so here is the last 2
debug message before the inactivity.

2004-01-16 11:55:56 [6] WARNING: EMI2[LocalLink]: received neither ACK nor
NACK for message 0 in 60 seconds, disconnecting and reconnection
2004-01-16 11:55:56 [6] INFO: EMI2[LocalLink]: closing connection.

All I can do is to stop the service and restart it again and the bearerbox
will read the messages and start transmitting.

And the emi2 server at the other side seems no stable enough to return the
submit response each time a message is sent.

This is all I can provide for now....

James

Hi James,

first of all: please cc devel ML too, IMO it's interesting for all
developers...

second: you have not answered my question! which version are you using?
sorry
but I can't guess...

third: emi2 smsc will retransmit all queued messages and does automaticaly
reconnect w/o waiting of outgoing traffic.

Please answer these questions:
1) which version of kannel?
2) is kannel patched by you or is it a clean kannel.org version?
3) if kannel patched by you then try clean CVS kannel.org version.
3) if this is not a CVS version try it first and see if a ?bug? still here.
4) if nothing of above descr. help, provide us with a more debug bearerbox
output, because we can't guess what's going wrong having only 2 lines from
the debug log...

Thanks in advance for your help in kannel debugging!
