But available under what license ? My understanding is that if you link or include GPL code into a code base, then that code base itself must be made available under GPL.
I recall from the early days of Kannel that using GPL licensed components was'nt possible, whereas LGPL was OK.
From GPL FAQ: "Combining two modules means connecting them together so that they form a single larger program. If either part is covered by the GPL, the whole combination must also be released under the GPL--if you can't, or won't, do that, you may not combine them."
