I have made a patch for CIMD2 that does this, but this logic is put in 
shared.c so it could probably be used for other protocols. Is there 
any interest for using it in Kannel? If so I can dig it out.

It was briefly discussed on the list a while ago. then it was dropped, 
but perhaps there could be a config parameter that say something like 
binfofirst=bool ?
