Hiren,

You need to set the profile ID in the SMPP optional param service_type
field, this is supported in Kannel, I believe it's mentioed in the docs/faq.

Subject: Re: MO/MT PSMS

Hi,

Thanks for providing exact link.
But still I am unable to proceed with MO/MT PSMS.

I come to know from my smsc (mblox) that for MT PSMS following fields has to
be added:
1. OperatorIDs - 31003 ( for Verizon carrier)
2. Tarrif - Applicable Tarrif
3. ProfileIds - Client Specific
4. OriginatorType - 3

Now as per patch provided I set:
Tarrif in binfo fields
OriginatorType in source-addr-ton

Problems is how can I set other fields like OperatorIDs and ProfileIds.
Can anyone help me out?
Waiting for fast reply.

Thanks again in advance.

Regards,
Hiren.

Hi Hiren,

There was Stipe's patch on 2003-10-16 for SMPP to use special billing
parameter. Here is a quote from CVS commit's comment:

* doc/userguide/userguide.xml: added sections about new sendsms CGI
parameter 'binfo' and sms-service escape code '%B' used for proxying
billing identifier/information from/to HTTP application into SMSC modules.

* gw/smsc/smsc_smpp.c: added 'service_type' handling of deliver_sm and
submit_sm PDUs to pass information via the binfo billing identifier/
information field of the Msg struct.

As you can see, since that version userguide already included information
about this:
