I am not sure.. Are they not only used on MT messages? As far as I can
determine the PID is only used on MT messages.
As for Tarriff class, I only think it will be useful for MT. If you
are doing billing on MO, then the tarriff will be fixed to the
shortnumber - that is, one tarriff per short number.
I am be wrong, though :D
