Hi, I am using Kannel CVS snapshot from 28th June 2004. I am facing the following problems with SMPP connections to a Logica/CMG SMSC: 1. Whenever I reconnect to the SMSC, Kannel does not automatically retrieve stored messages, but when a new sms is sent to the smsc, all the pending messages are retrieved by Kannel. 2. Due to some reason, the SMSC crashed today and had to be restarted. After this messages sent to the SMPP large account were not received by Kannel but were getting accumulated in the SMSC queue.
Since I have been testing this version of Kannel, I had kannel running on a console window with debug log level and I was able to see that kannel was able to send and receie enquire_link/enquire_link_resp PDUs. I am using a receive only link to connect to the SMSC and the SMSC admin has asked me to use a fixed port from my end when connecting! SMSC connection is via LAN with the SMSC in the same subnet as the machine running Kannel. The system running kannel is a AMD Athlon box running RH 8.0. I have another installation of Kannel running with the same smsc from the same computer, and that also showed this exact same behaviour. The other installation is a 1.0.3 version of Kannel installed from rpm.
