The problem is not with the receive window. What happens is that for some 
target numbers, the smsc queue is filled up. And when this happens, the smsc 
returns a error code 0x14. With kannel, when it sees this error code, the 
message goes into an immediate retry. I think i will modify kannel to drop 
these messages.

My smsc provider tells me that to change the queue, they would have to make 
a global change and that is not acceptable for them. This smsc is the 
primary smsc of the telco.

   It's desirable to ask your SMSC to widen their receive window, so your
messages don't enter a queue the first time Kannel sends them.
   I had this same problem with one SMSC and they solved it that way.

I am using a SMPP connection to my SMSC. I have noticed that kannel goes
into a loop when a submit_sm message is returned error code 0x14 (Message
Queue Full). When kannel encounters this error, it keeps on trying to
re-submit the sms to the smsc. Is there any way to specify a retry
timeout?
This behaviour is causing huge log files and causing kannel to crash
frequently.
