I bumped onto this while testing Alex' dead http connections patch after
doing a dist-upgrade (which I had a few packages from experimental
installed, like MySQL 4.1.something). The problem was caused by some
other header file from MySQL but yeah, it was there.

Anyway, this is clearly a namespace pollution. I believe we should clean
the dirt on our side, renaming list_* functions to gwlist_*. This is a
fairly easy task for me, if you please :)
