My website is very unfriendly. Scary. Disappointing. :( > would it be an option to make unneded parts optional? or give them their > own configure etc? I've seen stuff like that on more complex projects... I do not see need for such split. What is really needed to allow flexible packaging of kannel - to separate db engine specific parts into own shared objects. Like (for example) freeradius-mysql, freeradius-postfix, ... - the goal is to make it installable by "plain" admin - I've spent 2 days recently teaching such guy to type ./configure --some-options && make && make install && cut&paste initscripts and configs. > i'm working on a newer version of the at-driver. i had turnaround times of > more than 5 minutes before aplying the automake patch. with the way it is > now, > i can directly compile in emacs to spellcheck the code, and have the > linemarks > which point the textcurser directly to the right direction. Glad to read it. I will merge smsc/Makefile.am part as soon as I'll done migrating my production server to new hardware & fedora 3. -- Paul P 'Stingray' Komkoff Jr // http://stingr.net/key <- my pgp key This message represents the official view of the voices in my head
