Dear Kannel Devel, If you look at Chapter 9. SMS Delivery Reports,
IF message gets accepted by the SMSC but the phone is off or out of reach. The message gets buffered. In this case kannel would report 4: message buffered. In SMPP you get: SUBMIT_SM_RESP - kannel gives sending receipt 8 or 16 SMPP DELIVER_SM - kannel gives 1,2 SMPP DATA_SMS kannel gives 1,2 MY questions is to give a delivery report type 4, does kannel always do a QUERY_SM after some time ? Otherwise it should only give back a 1: delivery success or 2: delivery failure as a buffered SMS can either be delivered or after a period will expire and be a delivery failure. I hope some of the developers can clear this up. Thanks for any help
