environment” and I am very happy with it. I have tested it with different
terminals (Siemens S55, different Nokias and Sony Ericssons) against wap-servers
that use UTF-8 and iso-8859-1. I haven’t found any problems with the
displaying of non-ASCII characters and I know of a few that causes problems for
“my” commercial wap-gw. And I haven’t heard of any complaints
from my users. I did have some problems but they were related to
having compiled libxml2 with an old gcc (2.95.4) on FreeBSD 4.11 (yes, I have
read the FAQ- I also used a patch I found in the FreeBSD ports tree that takes
care of some threading issues). |
