Please do not post the same message to both lists you are duplicating the threads.
 
As per the ati command your modem is a siemens MC55; or at least the "modem firmware" . You need to google for the siemens MC55 AT manual. If you do not find it, using a generic AT-GSM command guide and the cu -l ttyUSB0 command enter different options to the AT+CNMI=xxxx and see what parameter combination work. This is for the ini-string
 
For the hwsh, is the same. Look at the generic guide to find the correct command and try the options stated in the guide.

Hi all,
 
I have Falcom (Samba 55 USB ) GSM Modem.
I get it connected to Kannel using following modem types:
 
1. falcom
2. wavecom
3. generic
 
Now when i do "cu -l ttyUSB0 i get following details:
# cu -l ttyUSB0
Connected.
^SYSSTART
ati
SIEMENS
MC55
REVISION 03.03
 
Please letmme know now what should i use for following parameters:
init-string
enable-hwhs
 
Also which Modem type i should use.
