please obey:
a) Windows OS via Cygwin is *NOT* considered "production grade", since
cygwin has huge problems with pthreads
b) arabic characters can be supported via UCS-2 (unicode), see user's
guide.

i use cygwin version 2.510.2.2 to cmpile kannel 1.4.0 does it also have
problems in pthreads ?
