Ok, my apologies:

a.) I'm blind, not sure how I missed that log option - it was staring me in the face (in the config, and in the docs) :S b.) The debug logs pointed out the cause of our problems, which was a bug in a throttling patch of ours >_<;

Thanks for your patience, Alex, Hillel!

Ok - our build/test server is currently offline (SATA controller problems, should be fixed in the next week or so), so I'll follow Alex's suggestion first, and get some better logging for when the next incident happens, and get a fresh new CVS build, test it, and deploy it as soon as I can. Thanks for the prompt replies!

Hi Giulio,

I would recommend moving to the latest CVS as when we were testing with CVS
versions some of them had some problems.
The latest CVS seems "relatively" stable and your problem may be fixed.

Also if its not fixed with the latest CVS, then it could be a problem with Kannel that needs a new patch and we have ruled out the possibility that it
was fixed previously.
