Hello list,

I'm checking the CVS version of kannel, and noticed that the smsc's (the one
I'm more interest in is smpp), is using UTF-8, however I'm having problems
with it, when the reply of the http request have special characters like
vocals with accents (according to RFC2616, ISO-8859-1 is the default
character encoding right?) it seems that kannel handles it as UTF-8, taking
the character next to it as part of the same, resulting in a lose of
characters.

is this a bug? or am I doing/missing something?, will the keyword match
handled as utf-8 as well? is the request data or/and message send to the
http server as utf-8?? what about the coding value? (since it seems that the
conversion to UTF-8 is only done when coding = DC_7BIT, and to UTF-16BE for
coding equals to DC_UCS2)

Thanks for your time
