Upgrade to 1.4.1 is planned on few months, after we start new backend to
our services.
Until that time, we still need to use 1.2 ..sadly.. any ideas where to
look, or what to patch,
would it help if i increase the linux open file limit?

Im running Kannel 1.2 and i get the following error on my Linux RH8
box with high SMS traffic.

Obviously you're triggering some kind of old bug we already fixed long
time ago.
Please use latest stable 1.4.1, or even better CVS HEAD which is a
release candidate for 1.4.2.
