Hi Stipe,

I have discussed this elsewhere with Alex, and seems that we have reached an understanding. I am not sure what you mean by running MT and MO modes, I know only of interactive and batch operation. Batch operation should terminate once all sent messages are received (MO)?, so that benchmarks have a meaning (i.e average roundtrip time for an MO) and successful configuration of smsbox is tested (1000/1000 MOs received and matched). Interactive mode, however, will wait forever, but will not print benchmarks.

I have a question, though:

Isn't dangerous to pull (MT?) sms from the store-file of a live server by fakesmsc? Aren't these SMS lost?

BR,

Hi Nikos,

seems you don't get a point of fakesmsc...

with you version it's only possible to test:
fakesmsc->bearerbox->smsbox->(reply) way but fakesmsc should also allow
to test:
 smsbox->bearerbox->faksesmsc

what Alex wants to say here is: fakesmsc mimics a real SMSC, in terms of a sink in a network graph, except that "it" has to connect to the smsc_fake.c module, rather then the other way around in the other normal cases. Then it waits there and dumps all MTs that it receives. Eventually you can configure it to do MO
loading too.

So it wouldn't make any sense to "stop" it after MOs are passed.

BTW, see my patch guidelines :)
