How I would test:
Start with a full read of the part using the old version.
old-olpcflash --brick -r <backupImage>
new-olpcflash -w <EC+ROMimage>
new-olpcflash -r <testimage>
new-olpcflash -v <backupImage>
if (verify == false) {
old-olpcflash --brick -w <backupImage>
}
Note: For this to work you need to use the exact same ROM file as
what is already in the flash but pre-pend the EC code.
If it fails please send me a copy of your <testimage>
