We go blank while the new kernel kexecs. It probably wouldn't hurt to leave
a gray screen up, since the video won't get reset until the kfb in the real
kernel starts. ChrisB - your thoughts?
I'd like to get to the point where we have a glitch-free transition from
startup to showing the interface. Right now we don't have to get that
perfect so leaving some debug stuff up is fine with me for now.
