Prior to upgrading to Linuxbios, I successfully booted from an olpc jffs2 image using a usb flash drive and Insyde bios.
The image recommended for the Linuxbios upgrade is ext2, and I am curretnly using this on a usb drive. I may be incorrect but I thought one of the advantages of jffs2 was that it used ram caching to minimise writing to the flash rom and increase the longevity of the memory given it's "100000 writes" life time. Is there any sense in using the jffs2 image on usb flash? I note that the wiki is not currently recommending installing to nand flash on the board due to problems (being worked on) Thanks -- Stephen Pearce Critical Care Whangarei ph 021 390 997 _______________________________________________ Devel mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.laptop.org/mailman/listinfo/devel
