No. Completely untested. When I did those I don't think I had any
hardware to test with.
So, yes please unit test.
Do you want to look at the rest of the tiny patches and see if they might
be of some use as well?
Now that I understand how to use quilt more effectively I can spend some
time with the remaining patches and see if they make a size difference.
