We believe we have isolated and fixed this issue. The fill will be rolled into build #302. It was apparently caused by another patch that fixed the 'iperf' bug on the mesh interface: http://dev.laptop.org/git.do?p=olpc-2.6;a=commitdiff;h=2b9aaacb4e32a7f100c228beaca3e3a6459e2121 which stopped the eth wireless device's transmit queue before a scan, but failed to re-enable it afterwords. NetworkManager gets hit by this bug since it actually runs periodic scans.
