I've already done that much (decompressing boot.img, etc).

However, I also need to modify the "install" program to prompt for the DPT
Controller.

Why is this procedure such a big secret?

Surely there is a script or Makefile that builds it all automagically.
I've looked through all the kernel source stuff, but I can't find it.  Who
is responsible for building and releasing the boot.img stuff?  I need to
talk to them.
