The kernel code is owned by the submitter and everyone has their own corporate policies. If you really need to do this then fine. But hopefully no one else sees this and thinks it's a good idea. Obviously if everyone else decided to update the tens of thousands of copyright notices it would then that's a massive pain in the backside. regards, dan carpenter
