I created an issue for this, that the configuration of the plugin is not
immediately updated after you draw the association is clearly a bug:
"Currently a change to the "sign-up configuration" gets only into effect
when one updates the "Sign-up Configuration" topic but not, for example,
when a meaningful association is related to this very topic. The current
workaround is: Updating the sign-up configuration topic or refreshing
the plugin/bundle.

Furthermore, as we talked on the phone once, i created another issue to
keep track of your feature request:
"switch of self-registration dialog but leave password-reset mechanism
active"
https://github.com/mukil/dm4-sign-up/issues/2
Thank you very much for your questions & Have a nice day.

Hey Juergen,
yes, sorry for the inconvenience. To change the Sign-up Configuration
you currently still must edit the topic once. Press "Edit" on your
currently active "Sign-up Configuration" and then press "OK". After the
update of the sign-up config topic you should see in the server side log
a line saying:
"Sign-up Configuration Loaded ..."
Then "custom workspace assignment" for users using self-registration
should be in effect.

Hi Malte,
I created an association between the workspace and the config, but it
did not have the desired result. Do I need to enable the API or
anything else here?
Thanks,
Juergen

Hello dear Juergen,
the workspace a user becomes automatically member of when signing up
is now configurable
this is simply reflected in Association between the sign-up
configuration topic and the workspace, meaning if there is such an
assocation members will automatically get a membership to this
workspace (if it is not Confidential or Private)"

Hi!
For the Aalto University project I have installed Malte's sign-up
plugin. Wasn't there a way to configure a default workspace
membership
(e.g. 'Project Data') for each new user?
Thx!
Juergen
