Of course, you could then be somewhat evil and play the flip side - sugar and the environment is what matters; the hardware is being sorted out for you by other companies along side the OLPC project. If people were interested, a bootable image for commodity laptops (note: I'm fully aware of the craziness that'd entail!) may widen the exposure that this whole effort has.
