The important changes since the last version include: * simplified prose, care of Mitch * a serious proposal for a stable release process for the next few months * separation of release management thoughts from development thoughts (which will be explained in a second essay if they compress into something sound) As promised with the last draft, Kim and I are working from both ends toward the middle to get us to an acceptable plan with help from pretty much everyone.
