As long as the wifi hardware is working, you don't need a cable. Even if the system won't boot, OFW has a complete wifi network stack. You could implement this as a special key to hold down on boot, to enter recovery mode. Unfortunately, it gets fairly complicated if you try to make it secure and wireless. I could imagine generating a random password and displaying it on the screen, but this requires a fancy password-protected fileserver, and doesn't work if the screen is broken. - --Ben -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkhEsHoACgkQUJT6e6HFtqQTRQCgjKz2pVEqMz+SDJPVd+Y1pQdg S/MAnRzEnb9YdPFw7I0Zh3fRG7xTYoTa =ioAM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/devel
