I added a ticket (7972). Further investigation seems to associate the bug with preexistent version of netwoks.cfg. But I am far from happy with this diagnoses. It would be very helpful if someone could repeat that. Update to joyride with olpc-update and check if this will cause duplicity of the access point icon and the symptoms described in the ticket. And them remove networks.cfg, restart, and check if collaboration starts working.
