Hi, rainbow's python module preloading causes a lot of activity breakage in joyride (any activity based on gstreamer such as Record, Chat, etc). Some reasons are detailed here: http://dev.laptop.org/ticket/9035
I just released rainbow-0.7.27 which turns off preloading. It will be in the next joyride. Having activities that start a bit slower than usual is better than having activities that do not start at all. This doesn't mean that preloading is turned off forever (although some of us would like that), but it is certainly disabled until someone comes up with a solution for the above bug at the very least.
