Tony,
I just got back from Kenya where I installed a server at Asilong Primary school
in West Pokot. This may be the first server in Kenya.

To answer your question... if you have one laptop (even non-XO) that is
assigned coursecreator role, then go to Moodle on that laptop, and you should
have the ability to re-assign roles to the other users. I don't have a running
server here, but as I recall, on the left side of the main Moodle screen, you
can navigate to either a users or permissions screeen, and if you keep looking
around, there is a screen that shows the assigned roles for all the XOs
registered to your server. You can move them from one role to another using the
interface, but you need to on a laptop that has coursecreator privileges.

If you don't have one with coursecreator privileges, then you can log in as
administrator. Documentation on how to do that is on the schoolserver site at
wiki.laptop.org.
