                            Thanks - but the second problem is more than the
GDB bug only. I created the elf file from the milkymist database and ran
this with the lm32-elf-gdb and this runs - though not to completion - but it
goes a longer way than just the error.

What is missing is the symbol "_fstack" - did you use a different linker LD
file?
