It might be the fastest route for the first versions as a "simple" VJ box (one that's usable by everybody, fast, and stable). I am utterly sick of GNU/GCC/Binutils/Linux problems and have lost all trust in the quality of Theobroma's port and toolchain. If those people cannot write an ISR and consider that their crappy executable loader is "production grade", what's the next issue we are going to discover? And I guess RTEMS should boot faster than Linux :) I'll evaluate it and if it's good, I may look forward to using RTEMS for the end product, but keeping the Linux port as a side/background project that might turn useful in the future, for some people or for demonstrations. > but there is no USB stack iirc. that would be a showstopper for you, right?
