Hello there,

Coming back to our discussion last month, it was referred to me that
the openocd version that you guys are using for in-circuit JTAG
debugging of the Milkymist SoC is not merged upstream yet.

In order for me to get an overall picture, Michael and Øyvind are
openocd's upstream developers and they are working behind milkymist as
well.

This is what I can deduce from [1] .

The last stable version of openocd is 0.4. However you are using
Michael's modified openocd, which is the master branch [1], right ?

We are shipping openocd-0.4 with FEL. It is clear that it is not the
openocd version which satisfies your needs.

If my above deductions are right, then I have to provide a
openocd-unstable (the git master branch) with FEL. But I don't like
this extra openocd-unstable, because it creates lots of havoc to
explain people the reason behind it and might confuse your users as
well. Hence is it possible to make regular openocd releases with
recent hardware support ?

Chitlesh
