Adam,
excellent work and thanks for fixing this bug.

As the manufacturer responsible for this mistake, I offer to apply the
fix for the (few) jtag-serial boards that are already shipped out by
now.
Please keep in mind though that the boards carrying this bug work
perfectly fine in USB full-speed mode, at over 10 times the speed of
the official Xilinx cable! :-)
If you have solid soldering skills, you can follow Adam's nicely
illustrated rework steps to apply the fix yourself, otherwise you
can return the jtag-serial board and we will fix it for you. To
avoid excessive shipping costs, you can also wait for a convenient
fix-party opportunity for example at a conference or get-together.
The offer to fix this bug for those who don't want to do it themselves
remains for the lifetime of the product.

It's up to the preferences of each customer. I have already started
contacting a few places that I know still have multiple unfixed
boards in one location, those are relatively easy to exchange and fix.

If you have a Milkymist One jtag-serial board and want the high-speed
fix applied now, please email me at [email protected].

I apologize for this mistake, on the other hand I am happy we were
able to locate the root cause relatively quickly, and with only
about 25 Milkymist One in the wild we will be able to get everybody
to HIGH-SPEED soon :-)
Happy hacking, way to go Milkymist One,
Wolfgang
