Jon and Sebastien,
the first Milkymist One box will have a size of
33 cm x 28.5 cm x 5.5 cm
to fit into a Fedex Medium Box.

I made a draft design, see here
http://downloads.qi-hardware.com/people/wolfgang/tmp/box_artwork.pdf

It uses Christopher's new logo design and Orbitron font. I am
not sure yet whether the resolution of our screenshots is high
enough, but I hope for the most part this design will be printable
and readable. I don't know yet whether we should include a Twitter
URL or reference (twitter.com/milkymistvj) on the box, after reading
the Twitter trademark guidelines I wasn't entirely sure whether or
how we are allowed to do that.

Sebastien has made a nice drawing, and I got very positive
feedback to the effect that this drawing gets the point of
Milkymist One across quite well, together with the 4 bullet
points in his brochure.

drawing: http://downloads.qi-hardware.com/people/wolfgang/tmp/ddv.svg
bullet points:
*) Lightweight
*) Very low latency
*) No computer needed
*) Ready in seconds
Brochure: http://www.milkymist.org/leaflets/brochure_v1_100dpi.pdf

The box related files are committed at (box_artwork.sla)
https://github.com/milkymist/extras-m1/tree/master/cad
(it's a bit messy right now, will be cleaned up soon, but you have
some raw material there. We use Scribus for the box artwork)

So...
Feedback very welcome, best would be if someone just took this as a starting
point and makes a better box design. We certainly could have something
much more fancy, but if nothing better comes along, I'll go with my
draft. If I find time and nobody else does it, I may try to make a nice
box out of Sebastien's drawing, which definitely has potential for a
very nice box, I think.
We need to finalize the box design over the next few days to send it off
to printing...
Wolfgang
