Hi,
I'm currently working on software support for different video input
configurations:
* support for composite on any of the 3 inputs
* ability to switch between those 3 inputs live, using a keyboard shortcut
* support for S-Video (Y/C)
* support for component (YPbPr)
Currently the only configuration supported by Flickernoise/RTEMS is
composite on the green connector.
To feed S-Video, we need a passive adapter cable that takes the
luminance and chrominance signals from the mini-DIN connector and
connects them to separate RCA plugs.
Those seem relatively rare. I don't know if we should include one as
accessory, but it would be good to have a short list of suitable
third-party cables. Here is a good candidate:
http://www.ramelectronics.net/audio-video/video-cables/s-video-cables/s-video-to-dual-rca-cable-csv2rca10/prodCSV2RCA10.html
Can you find others?
Note that this cable is not the same as the more common "S-Video to
composite" cable, which mixes luminance and chrominance into one
channel. While such cables would work, they also degrade picture quality.
S.
