Don't force-push (if I understand correctly, we'd permanently lose
the current code, and have more minor sync problems). Create a new

What problem does it solve? YAFFS seems very reluctant to merge our
by sync with upstream, it fix 'Create File Error' with copy files though
FTP(filezilla).

changes (I contacted them about a year ago already, Sebastian
contacted them too, and the YAFFS people did absolutely nothing since
then) so if it's just to track upstream to make a theoretic merge
easier, it's probably not worth the effort.
