Matt, Milkymist One is an open project and as such poses extra challenges to our hopefully very enlightened and tasteful customers :-)
*every* product is just a snapshot in time. Every consumer product you buy in the store has a version A1, A2, A3, etc. Hardware is constantly tweaked. What we are currently selling as our latest version is the best we can do today, and is fully supported from me, the manufacturer :-) If there would be any fix I would be aware of today, I would apply it to my inventory today. We are offering free fixes or ugprade programs to people who bought earlier hardware, and will continue to do so. So at some point you either have to make the jump or not. Milkymist One will always continue to push the limits, every new hardware revision will hopefully improve something, and hopefully have no regressions (that's also possible, don't forget ;-)) If you want to know the 'perfect' revision to buy, you have to wait 10 years and then you know which one was the best for you. The moment you buy hardware, you take the risk that some hardware flaw is discovered later, or a hardware improvement is made. That will always be the case. The product we are selling today is awesome. We have fixed stability issues, audio and video signal loss, audio noise, freezes, etc. You can expect to run Milkymist One (RC3) for years 24/7. If it actually won't do that - it's a case for customer support, we will fix it. Hope this helps understand this important issue, and I hope to welcome you as a new user soon!
